The Camp

Our campers will get to experience the wonderful world of basketball and have a positive feeling by learning to play the game correctly. We will drill and teach the fundamentals of the game and then put them to practice with strong, competitive games. There will be daily challenges to enliven and motivate our campers. Every day we will work to Educate-Teach-Drill-Play & Compete. Kids work in small groups with well trained instructors and will receive the attention and direction necessary to become better players.

Our campers will go through station drills every day to reinforce the fundamentals so that they can become second nature. Our lectures are short and pro-active so everyone is actively participating and not being talked to! All games are coed and are 3x3. To learn the offense and to get comfortable playing defense is our ultimate goal. Everyone touches the ball and everyone is involved with every play!!

Comments

"Our son attended Hoop Fever Basketball Camp and really enjoyed his time while at camp. The camp was well run and organized. Coaches Curley, Grimes and staff were excellent. In learning of the fundamentals of basketball through various offensive and defensive drills, our son was able to take the skills he learned and apply them to the different positions he plays on the court. Not only did his understanding of the game of basketball grow, but more importantly his confidence as a player has grown. He looks forward to attending your future basketball camps." Jennifer S.,Parent of camper

"Two of my boys attended the April vacation camp with Mr. Curley and his wonderful staff of coaches in 2011. My sons have a six year age difference and it can be extremely challenging to find a quality program that can cater to both of their skill levels. However, the coaches at this camp were more than equipped to do just that! They assessed the boys and provided them with a tailored program that met their spectrum of needs, both on and off the court. My kids are very much looking forward to spending another week with The Curley Crew!" Deborah S.,Parent of campers

"I just wanted to write and tell you how much my daughter, Helen, and her cousin, Molly, enjoyed Hoop Fever Basketball camp last April. It was a great mix of fun and learning for them. The counselors were young, enthusiastic and inspiring. The girls worked hard and were proud of all the accomplished by the end of camp. Thanks again and hope to see you next year!" D.M. Parent of camper

Teamwork!

"My sons attend both of the Hoop Group camps. The camps are well run, the basketball instruction is superb, the boys work hard and have fun. Best of all, the recognition of honor roll students at each camp reminds the campers of the importance of being student-athletes." June H., Parent of 2 campers.

"The All-Cape Hoop Camp was such a fun experience! Mr. Curley and Don Grimes, and all the rest of the coaches made the camp one that gave players a chance to play competitively as well as learn new skills and improve their game. All were very approachable and enthusiastic. All the staff were very approachable and enthusiastic. They were lots of fun whether they were helping me improve my shot fake or telling me a joke on the sidelines. Not only did I learn a ton of new stuff, I made a bunch of new friends. Personally, I can't wait until next year!"
Jill K., Returning camper.

"Steve Curley's basketball camps achieve a great balance of teaching fundamental basketball, competition, sportsmanship and self esteem. Our son and daughter have attended camp for four summers and look forward to returning each year. Steve and his staff expect the campers to work hard, but makes it fun and rewarding." Jonathan & Donna, Parents of campers.
