Our Staff!

You can't have a great camp without a great staff, and we've got one! These seasoned veterans will set the tone for this year's program.

Check it out:

Steve Curley
serves as the director of the camp. He brings 40 years of experience to our programs as is also the director/owner of the All-Cape Rookie Camp and the internationally-known Red Auerbach Basketball School. Steve spent 20 years as a teacher and coach in public education and an equal amount of time in the sports industry. Steve really cares about young people and his leadership, expertise and prior experience have all contributed to the great reputation the camps have earned.

Don Grimes:
Don has earned a new position at the camp. He has moved up the ranks over the years from coach to Commissioner to a Program Director and is now the Associate Director working alongside the Director.  Don retired as head coach of Medway High School to give full time to his position as the School’s Intervention Officer and to officiating on both the high school and college levels. He is also the program director at the Red Auerbach Basketball School and will be the main man at the All Cape Camp directing staff and players during both sessions. He is a knowledgeable Basketball man and more than willing to share!

Alik Taylor:    Alik is a resident of Hyannis on Cape Cod were he is a very respected Director of Alternative Learning at Barnstable High School. He was formerly Head Women's Coach at Dennis-Yarmouth High School and is now the Head Coach at Harwich High School. At the Auerbach school, Alik runs the College Division as well as directing the game officials. Alik will be heading up the Pro division in both sessions this summer. He is a tremendous motivator and a great camp person who is willing to pass along his basketball knowledge to all campers.

Danta Phillips:
Danta is the "quiet man" who gets the job done by excellent teaching and one on one communication with his players.  He is a graduate of D-Y High School on Cape Cod and from Susquehanna College in PA. He has coached many youngsters in AAU and has worked all the Hoop Group camps for a number of years now. Currently he is a licensed board official and is getting bigger and better games as he makes his mark as a superior whistle blower. His knowledge is a great  help in our camp program.

Morgan Kendrew:
Morgan brings lots of playing and coaching experience to our programs. After finishing her high school career as the school's all time scoring leader and a Boston Globe and Herald All Scholastic, Morgan took her talents to Brandeis University.  In addition to her success as a player and top scorer, she was  selected Team Captain and MVP adding to her many awards and recognitions.  Morgan currently Directs AAU basketball programs on and off Cape Cod and is the 1st assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Mount Ida College as well as the team's recruiting coordinator.  Morgan contributes greatly to our teaching and drilling as a shooting specialist and overall fun person to have at camp.

Katherine Marvoulos
Katherine Marvoulos:
Katherine is now a veteran coach with the All Cape Camps and has been a tremendous addition to our staff. In addition to this very scholarly photo of Katherine, she is a Cape-Codder and a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth High School where she excelled earning All-Cape honors in both basketball and softball. She attends 4 C's and still calls Yarmouth home. There is no greater compliment than to have your own school want you to return there as a member of their coaching staff. But that is Katherine - - first the Freshman Basketball Coach and now J.V. Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach. Kids think Marvoulos is marvelous!

Matty Grimes:
Matty is the special assistant to the Camp Director.  A graduate of Keefe Technical Vocational High School in Framingham, MA.,  Matt holds numerous Gold Medals for basketball in the Special Olympics.  Matt has been to Shanghai, China and competed in the International Special Olympics.  He was the only Olympian chosen in all of New England.  Don’t challenge Matt to a 3 point contest, he is tough!!! Matty competed at half time at the Boston Garden where he sank three 3-pointers in a row and absolutely brought down the house!! If you enjoy the Gatorade and the popsicles and clean pinnies daily, thank Matty who does all the behind the scenes work.
